What are some good recipes for fried tofu dishes?

i have 14 oz of tofu and i want to use it what are some good recipesWhat are some good recipes for fried tofu dishes?
I have two ideas...


Hawaiian Fried Rice


1 1/2 teaspoons dark sesame oil


T Canola oil


1 lb firm tofu, diced


1 medium red onion, finely chopped


1 small red bell pepper, finely chopped


1 small yellow bell pepper, fine chopped


1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped


1 medium carrot, finely chopped


5 cups cooked jasmine rice


2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce


2 tablespoons oyster sauce


1 tablespoon sambal oelek


1 cup diced pineapple


1/2 cup macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped


salt and pepper, to taste





Cook the rice the day before.


Heat a wok to medium-high and add sesame oil.


Saute the tofu cubes, set aside.


Add a little canola oil to the wok, add the onion, carrot and bell peppers.


Stir fry a few minutes.


Add the cooked rice and continue to stir fry, break up the lumps.


Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce and sambal oelek.


Continue to stir-fry, adding the pineapple, macadamia nuts, and salt and pepper (to taste)





Second Idea...





Pan-Fried Sesame Tofu





Serve with steamed bok choy or broccoli, saut茅ed watercress or eggplant, and brown rice.





14 ounces organic extra-firm tofu


1/4 cup cornstarch or flour for dusting


canola or corn oil for frying


1/2 cup sesame seeds, lightly toasted


1 bunch scallions, trimmed and cut into 1'; pieces Sauce


1/3 cup honey


3 tablespoons tamari


3 tablespoons finely minced ginger


2 tablespoons sesame oil (not toasted)


2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar


2 cloves finely minced garlic


1鈥? teaspoons red chili flakes


Wrap tofu with paper towels and place on a cutting board. Put another cutting board or heavy plate on top to press out liquid about 20 minutes.





Stir together sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Simmer sauce while you cook tofu. Dry drained tofu with paper towels and cube. Dust very lightly with corn starch or flour. Heat 1 inch of oil in a deep frying pan. Fry tofu in 350掳F oil until golden brown. Place fried tofu on a large platter or bowl and toss with 2/3 cup warmed sauce, sprinkle liberally with sesame seeds and scallions, toss gently. Serve with remaining sauce for dipping or to drizzle over vegetables.





I love this recipe...just make sure you drain the tofu.What are some good recipes for fried tofu dishes?
1 (16 ounce) package extra-firm tofu, drained and pressed


2 cups vegetable broth


3 tablespoons vegetable oil


1/2 cup all-purpose flour


3 tablespoons nutritional yeast


1 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper


1 teaspoon sage


1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper


Cut pressed tofu into 1/2-inch thick slices; then cut again into 1/2-inch wide sticks. Place tofu in a bowl, and pour broth over the top. Set aside to soak.


In a separate bowl, stir together flour, yeast, salt, pepper, sage, and cayenne.


Warm oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.


Remove tofu sticks from broth, and squeeze most (but not all) of the liquid from them. Roll sticks in breading. (You may have to roll sticks twice to end up with a fairly dry outer layer of breading.) Place tofu in hot oil; fry until crisp and browned on all sides. Add more oil if necessary.

Ingredients


2 cups COOKED rice


1 lrg. onion, sliced


1 green pepper, sliced


2 ribs celery, sliced


1/2 lb. tofu, diced


2 tbsp soy sauce


2 green onions, cut into 1/2 inch slices





Directions


In skillet or wok heat some oil


Add tofu cubes and soy sauce and stir-fry for 1 minute


REMOVE tofu and to the same skillet add 2 tbsp. oil, onion, green pepper, and celery. Stir-fry this for 3-4 minutes.


Slowly add the cooked rice


Add soy sauce and tofu cubes.


Stir-fry until hot. Serve topped with green onions
